Finding Open Water Walleye With Tadpoles
Whether fished off a planer board or a flatline, resettable diving weights make it fast and easy to find active walleye in open water.
I’ll often use OR36-series Resettable Diving Weights – also known as Tadpoles –when I’m trying to pattern walleye in open water. Used in combination with planer boards or simply on a flat line fished straight off the back of the boat, Tadpoles let me make rapid lead length changes while I’m trying to find the most productive depth zone. By being able to make adjustments quickly, I’m able to find and catch fish much faster than if I had to tie up new rigs.
