Smoker Craft Inc. hosted representatives from more than 250 different boat dealerships worldwide at its the 2018 dealer meeting, held earlier this month at the plant in New Paris, Indiana. Attending dealers and dealer prospects were treated to an in-depth look at the 2018 lineup for the company’s Smoker Craft, Starcraft, Sylvan and SunChaser brands, with 159 boats on display and a further 18 in the water at nearby Lake Wawasee.
“We had a record number of dealers with us this year,” said Smoker Craft Inc. president, Doug Smoker – a fitting result in a year which has seen the company achieve a number of new production and sales milestones as well as CSI awards for its aluminum, pontoon and fibreglass products. “2017 marked the sixth consecutive year that we marked double-digit growth,” said Smoker. “The first quarter of 2017 was the largest first quarter in our history. And the second quarter of 2017 was the largest quarter in our history. So far this year we’ve had four record months of production.”
Dealers enjoyed the chance to see and drive a wide range of new products including all-new Smoker Craft Pro Sportsman and Phantom models, along with redesigned Pro Angler XL and Ultima models; all-new SX and redesigned EX pontoons, new 176 Titan, 178 Renegade and 188 Renegade aluminum fishing models, new MDX deck boats and new SCX and StarStep surf boats in its Starcraft lineup; an all-new Geneva pontoon line in the company’s SunChaser brand; and a new high-end M-Series pontoon line for Sylvan.
Watch for the 2018 lineup to make its appearance at this winter’s boat shows.
